We’ve got a Showcase Position in the Windows Marketplace

We were already in the US shop, but now we’ve opened business in the Dutch shop with SMS my Position; and we are on the main shelf. This all may sound as if we are selling like maniacs now, but in Appstore Street the Marketplace has a small shop with not so much apps on the shelf and not a lot of people walk in there. We’re here to liven up the shop with more apps to come. Check out our app and buy it, it’s only €1,39!

iPhone Website Upgrade

Yesterday, our iphone website got an upgrade. Just browse with your iphone to www.nulaz.net and you’ll get to see the new version. Apart from a number of bugfixes, we gave the website a much more native look and feel and we incorporated some of the new features we’ve been building on the web. It might still be a bit slow, but we’re working on that, so stay tuned, and keep a close eye on the app store.

Nulaz 0.24: CellID, Avatars, and much more…

As some of our users that ran the 0.23 version might have noticed, we have done an update (and firstly used our update method). There is a reason why some devices have had the 0.24 version already a month ago, and why some only got a new version about a week ago, and why BlackBerry users still haven’t got it. It has to do with our testphones getting stolen and replacing them took some time.

.

OK, so what’s in it?

  • It’s faster. It doesn’t block the interface on network traffic anymore, which is most noticeable on startup.
  • It’s got profile pictures for people and places (only uploadable via web or mobile web, still).
  • It’s got improved GPS placing on the map, and Cell ID localisation for those devices that support CellID from Java (Sony Ericsson and Blackberry)
  • It’s got improved battery life and data usage. Because we make more efficient use of internet connections and GPS updates, we have improved the battery drainage and data traffic (for those of you who still not have a flat fee, you fools).
  • It’s got a lot of other fine tuning under the hood that would bore the hell out of all of you reading this, so drop by for a beer on Friday afternoons and talk to any one of our developers to hear all about it.

Thanks JR Online

This morning we got a cake from JR Online, our hosting provider for winning Vodafone Mobile Clicks. Thanks guys!

Mobile Website Live

We have just put our first version of the mobile website live. If you go to www.nulaz.net with your mobile browser, you will get it. We are still optimizing, bug fixing, and a lot of basic Nulaz functionality needs to be added, but this is at least something for those of you out there that are either too scared, lazy, or technophobic to install a mobile application or for those of you out there that happened to buy such a shitty phone that is not supported by our mobile application (if you are in this category, just buy a new phone). Please give us feedback and comments on how we can improve.
