Nulaz available in Nokia’s OVI store

ovi

As you can read here, we are very pleased with the advent of all these operator and manufacturer application stores. Recently we have added the OVI store to our distribution list. Some versions are still under review, but our infamous touch version is out there.

Nulaz @ Dance Valley

Dance Valley was a great project for us again where we worked together with Heineken, UDC, and Hyves.  Obove you can see the preliminary results. Unfortunately Apple decided to release our application 1 day after the festival was over…though you can still check it out in the app store.

Merry Christmas and a happy 2009!

As you can see it’s snowing here, and that’s where some of the team members will be this Christmas, while others will be in the more sunny side of Spain. We like Sinterklaas more than Santa Claus, but that’s just us. Anyways, if you want to receive a special christmas gift from us, write a special Christmas message in the comments, and we’ll send you one for free.

Nulaz in top 5 of the Challenger 50

For all it’s worth, we’ve made the third place of the Challenger 50. On a voting page where you could pitch your company, we got more than 40k votes. Even though it’s a bit of a strange event, with no goals other than getting yourself into the Challenger Day, and the possibility of winning a trip to NY, we are happy to have gotten that much support. Thanks to all of those who voted!

TC50, CTIA, & Mobile Jam Session wrapup: Getting Nulaz on deck in the USA

I’m still in San Francisco but the rush of the conference has worn off and now the tiredness comes in. It’s been a great show for us and a fun couple of days.

It was good that I knew so many people still from the Barcelona conference. Especially the guys from Useful Networks; when I flew in on Wednesday we had dinner and went to the TC50 party, the Greystripe party, and ended up in the Clift where everybody seemed to have a big night, and it went downhill from there.

Motorola StandYahoo Stand

The thing that makes this conference actually interesting is that it’s not as big as Barcelona, and that is more focused towards developers. This means that from every 10 people I meet, there’s a lot more connection and opportunity than meeting the same number of people at Barcelona. It takes a lot of noise away. It’s not as rushed, so you can actually have a conversation instead of just exchanging pitches and business cards.

Friday I attended the Mobile Jam Session which was not only a good event because of the beers, food and phone giveaways, but mostly because there were developers, operators, manufacturers, and signing companies having an open discussion about the difficulties of the industry and how to move forward with them. There was a great animation artist documenting the session. I took a picture from this post, and I can’t wait to see the full version of the artwork.

The difficulties for us to enter the US market would be the BREW issue (porting to yet another platform), getting ourselves on deck (available on their platforms) and location enabled with the providers, as well as updating our handset support with all the models that are out there in the American Market (that strange country where they still use CDMA2000). The last couple of days I’ve gathered the ingredients to start tacking these problems one by one.

iPhone Mobile Website Live

As from today, we have a mobile website for the iPhone. You just go with your iPhone to nulaz.com and everything is there for you. You don’t need to go to a special url. There you have all the features you need to know what’s happening. For the more heavy Nulaz users, we will be launching a Nulaz iPhone application soon.
